What is a Sonos
Music System?
 If
the iPod is the modern version of the Walkman, Sonos is the modern
version of the home stereo.
It
uses wireless networks to string together small "Zone Players,"
stand-alone devices that pipe stereo-quality sound to different
rooms in your house.
You
control the Sonos through a Wi-Fi remote that sports a big LCD
screen and an iPod-like scroll wheel.
Sonos
frees your songs from your computer speakers, bringing music to
every corner of your home and garden.
Music
can be stored on your computer as MP3’s or on a separate network
drive (no need for your computer to be switched on).
Music
can also be streamed from live internet radio stations or streamed
from music providers such as Napster.
Music in your
house.
You can put Zone
Players in absolutely any room where you want music. With Sonos, no
room is off-limits and you can add music wirelessly to practically
any number of rooms: the bedroom, the backyard, the bathroom, even
your garage or work shop.

hands.
 Sonos
puts the control of all your music and all of your rooms right where
it should be — in your hands. With the touch of a finger you can
find and play a world of music, whether it’s streaming direct from
the Internet or stored on your computer.
Tune in to your
favourite radio station or browse through your entire music library.
You can play the same song in every room or choose different songs
for different rooms. Even control the volume level for each room
independently. It’s up to you.
Complete control
is accessed via a dedicated Sonos control pad and can even be
controlled by an i phone.
